Waldhaus Steinbauer A private alpine retreat, high above the valley and surrounded by forest – your home for a while. A house with history: Built in 1968 by the owner's grandfather, with close ties to the region's mountains, forests and people. A nearby spring supplies the houses with clear water. Fully renovated in 2026, the Waldhaus retains its character with updated comforts. Your mountain retreat: A small chalet at 1,200 metres, blending traditional wood with modern comfort. Its 38 m² offer a bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and everything two guests need. The view is part of the house: On the Koralm in southern Carinthia, above the fog, overlooking the valley. Your outdoor living room: Over 100 m² of private outdoor space with covered and open terraces, a balcony and your own garden with a barbecue. Slow down, eat, read, enjoy wine. Slow mornings: Coffee, breakfast and mountains on your doorstep. Take your time. Bring your dog: Up to two pets are welcome (for an extra fee). Stay until the last light: The mountains change colour, the light fades and the forest falls silent. A fire, a glass of wine – nothing more is needed. Traditional outside, high-tech inside: Underfloor heating, Starlink internet and smart controls. Farm-fresh produce is delivered. A hot meal delivery service and a self-service farm shop are available nearby: Regional dishes and produce, herbs, homemade jam and honey complete the experience.
